About Dodhia Synthetics’ 600 kilowatt Rooftop Solar System
Dodhia Synthetics, one of India’s leading PET recycling manufacturers, experienced challenges when their earlier solar installation delivered lower-than-expected performance and lacked proper after-sales support. This led to financial setbacks and a declining confidence in solar as a reliable energy solution. Determined to turn the situation around, the company sought a partner capable of ensuring long-term system performance and dependable service.
Orb installed a 600 kWp rooftop solar system at the Dodhia Synthetics facility in Surat in September 2022. The system was backed with three complimentary preventive maintenance visits during the first year. The system now saves the company about Rs. 60 lakhs annually with regular monitoring and proactive maintenance, resulting in an appealing payback period of 3 years and 8 months while bolstering sustainability efforts and cutting operational expenses.
